    Getting Out – Molly Steere

    This year’s Christmas wish-list reflected the life changes that having a four-month-old son has unleashed on my world. I asked Santa for a full day of skiing with my husband, a nursing bra that supports activities other than sitting on my duff and the ability for my husband to grow mammary glands. My list made me feel a little selfish but it’s indicative of some of the obstacles new moms face getting out of the house for some desperately needed fresh air and exercise.

    Slaying Dragons - Molly Cooper Steere

    Christmas Tree Hunting - Molly Steere

    I grew up on the other side of the mountains but my two sets of grandparents lived in Ardenvoir and Chelan, so we’d always drive over here for Christmas.  My favorite holiday tradition was going “tree hunting”.  We’d all pile into Grandpa Chuck’s pickup (before those pesky seatbelt laws made it illegal to fit as many people as possible into the cab of a truck) and head up random logging roads searching for the perfect tree.
