A wedding and a reunion...now it is time to get back to it!

I went to my brothers wedding on the 12th of February and actually stayed on track working out.  When I got home though, I let myself go back to old habits.  I did not gain weight but I feel yucky.  On Sunday, after 2 weeks of sick kids and myself finishing the crud, I resolved to push toward my goal of losing 20 pounds total by the end of March.  I am 9 pounds from that goal and truly believe I can do it.  It means 3 pounds a week....cheer me on!

My new routine will be cardio every day even if for a 20 minute walk with the kids.  Then intense cardio at least 3 times per week and weights 3-4 times per week.  I have given myself a little more leniency on my diet.  I have too.  As a wine steward and employee, I cannot cut it out of my life.  It is a part of who I am and what makes me happy.  Not drunk happy...I study wine, I sale wine, I write about wine...I am allowing myself wine whenever I want.  I am just limiting how much wine.

    tired....

So I started 6 days of cardio and 3 days lifting.  The days I lift I put in 30 mintues of cardio at night.  Then, the days I have just cardio I do intense interval training.  It is tough.  I am tired.

Also, my diet is supressed.  I am not sure if it is the amount of stress I am under???  In reality I should be getting hungrier since I am putting out more energy.  I had to force myself to eat last night.  I knew I needed the energy...

One thing I have learned in life that "if it is to be, it is up to me."  I have to reach each daily goal.  No one else can do it.  It is up to me.

today's goal is to finish the office shelving, get 20 minutes of interval training, and prepare for ski lessons tomorrow.

    found some missing muscles...

My new routine has reminded some of my deep lying muscles that they too have to pull their own weight along htis journey.  Lunges prompted my hamstrings to wake up and boy did they!  I am so sore today.  Unfortunately I have to be inthe car for about 6 hours....not looking forward to no room to walk this achy day out.  Maybe I will have time between meetings.

I flipped today with yesterday.  I did my lower body and cardio so that today Ii could gete to meetings in Spokane.  I will do my cardio sprints tonight.

Tomorrow is Thursday and my goals are to get myh 2nd round of upper body, a cardio session, and reconnect with an old friend for lunch.

    Starting fresh...

I started fresh this week with a new routine.  I am lifting 3 days a week but added 3 additional days of cardio.  It seems like a lot but it will be worth it.  I lift Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with  standard 30 minute cardio in the evening.  Then, Sunday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays I put in my heavy duty sprints.  So far, so good.  Not too tired but it is only day 3 of the new routine.  I am eating more to supplement the energy expenditure but feel it is a good balance of the right kind of food.

I did get my body comp yesterday and it went really well. I will have to post those numbers for you later since I don't have my sheet with me.

Cheer me on...it is going to be a another climb through the first part of this new routine...

    Strong!

What a great start to my week!  I had a lower body workout and lifted more than I have previously and with real strength.  It felt so good!  I expect my abs to be a little sore tomorrow but in a good way!  Still at 7 lbs down but I expect that to change over the course of this week.

My diet was solid too!  I started out with yummy whole oats, egg whites and an apple.  I am getting hungrier though.  That is probably because my metabolism is starting to kick in with my new diet and exercise.  I really have renewed energy this week.

Goals for tomorrow - 20 mintues cardio, fix inventory, line out the rest of the work week for sales.
