Stumble, trip and fall flat on my butt...

So my last post was WAAAAYYYY back in March...it is now June and I have to start all over again.  I weighed in tonight at 165lbs...that is up 7 pounds from my March weight.  Again, I am my own worse enemy when it comes to working our and eating healthy....life goes on and the pounds will come off...

SIZE 8!!! But not ready to celebrate

This week has been a little rough trying to get back on the workout wagon.  I am sore, tired and really want a glass (or bottle - noonw can say for sure) of viognier at the end of the day.  Today's cardio took two sessions.  I was so winded after 10 minutes, I took a walk around the house to collect my breath.

After another 15 mintues, I cooled down, took a shower and started getting ready for my day.  That's when I spied a pair of size 8 jeans that I have not worn in almost 2 years.  I considered to give it a go.  I squeezed in, buttoned them and sat down.  Now I DID fit into them.  I just could not breath whiling sitting.  Standing yes, but once I sat, it pushed all my intestines, kidneys, bladder and other organs into my diaphram, lungs and chest cavity.  Oh well, maybe next time....end of March!

A wedding and a reunion...now it is time to get back to it!

I went to my brothers wedding on the 12th of February and actually stayed on track working out.  When I got home though, I let myself go back to old habits.  I did not gain weight but I feel yucky.  On Sunday, after 2 weeks of sick kids and myself finishing the crud, I resolved to push toward my goal of losing 20 pounds total by the end of March.  I am 9 pounds from that goal and truly believe I can do it.  It means 3 pounds a week....cheer me on!

My new routine will be cardio every day even if for a 20 minute walk with the kids.  Then intense cardio at least 3 times per week and weights 3-4 times per week.  I have given myself a little more leniency on my diet.  I have too.  As a wine steward and employee, I cannot cut it out of my life.  It is a part of who I am and what makes me happy.  Not drunk happy...I study wine, I sale wine, I write about wine...I am allowing myself wine whenever I want.  I am just limiting how much wine.

    I promised some numbers...

I took a 4 week body comp test on Monday morning.  I did not do the measurements around body parts yet.  I will wait until the end for those measurements. I saw some good improvements and expect he fat to start melting more quickly....

    Weight 162 - I lost  pounds in 4 weeks!!

Body Fat % - 25.5 puts me in a new category (before I was considered boarderline obese)

pounds of lean muscle - 120.7

    pounds of fat - 41.27

Next 4-week goals are to loose another 8 pounds, and drop 3% more percent body fat.

    Starting fresh...

I started fresh this week with a new routine.  I am lifting 3 days a week but added 3 additional days of cardio.  It seems like a lot but it will be worth it.  I lift Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with  standard 30 minute cardio in the evening.  Then, Sunday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays I put in my heavy duty sprints.  So far, so good.  Not too tired but it is only day 3 of the new routine.  I am eating more to supplement the energy expenditure but feel it is a good balance of the right kind of food.

I did get my body comp yesterday and it went really well. I will have to post those numbers for you later since I don't have my sheet with me.

Cheer me on...it is going to be a another climb through the first part of this new routine...
